Who it suits
The Arc One, Arc's first boat, was built for the American lake-and-wakesports buyer with an appetite for early adoption: an aluminium hull, twelve seats, and 373 kW (500 hp) drawing on a 220 kWh pack — a battery roughly three times the size of a mid-market electric car's. That combination is simply what a genuinely fast electric day boat costs in energy terms, and the quoted three to five hours of mixed use is credible precisely because the pack is so large. Use the performance and that figure will collapse; potter and it will stretch well beyond it.
Caveats worth weighing
At about €280,000 converted from a $300,000 list, and at 7.3 m, this is among the most expensive boats per metre in the electric day-boat segment. You are paying for battery capacity, not accommodation. The limited run of roughly twenty units is the bigger issue for a European buyer: parts, software support and warranty on a low-volume, US-built boat are the real risk, and Arc's later and higher-volume models are likely to be better supported over a decade of ownership.
