What a buyer should know

Built by an operator, for operators

The La Bella Verde LBV 35's most interesting credential is not on the spec sheet: the brand grew out of an Ibiza-based solar-electric charter business that has been running electric catamarans commercially for years. A yard that has to fix its own boats between bookings tends to design differently from one that only sells them, and the emphasis on recyclable composite construction fits a charter operation trading explicitly on environmental credentials. With an 11.7 m hull, a 5.65 m beam and 0.93 m draft, this is a day-charter platform first — stable, shallow, generous in deck area, easy to bring close inshore.

What buyers must pin down

For a €287,000 boat the published data is thin to the point of being a problem: no battery capacity, no motor output, no speed and no range. Those are precisely the numbers that decide whether a charter day is viable without a mid-day charge, and no operator should sign without them.

Private buyers should also weigh the practical cost of the 5.65 m beam, which pushes the boat into wide-berth pricing at most Mediterranean marinas and rules out some. Compared with production electric catamarans in the same length band, the LBV 35 trades brochure specification for real operating provenance — a fair trade, but only once the missing figures are supplied.

Written from the builder’s published specifications and the wider market, not from testing the boat ourselves. Always confirm figures with the manufacturer before committing.
