What a buyer should know
What the extra €120,000 buys
Against its smaller sibling the Eelex 8000 is a straightforward doubling: two Kreisel packs rather than one, 126 kWh, 170 kW, ten seats and 100 nautical miles of quoted range. Top speed is identical at 30 knots, so nobody should buy the larger boat for pace. Buy it for the two things the X Shore 1 cannot do — carry a full party in comfort, and stay out all day without an anxious eye on the state of charge.
Construction is the other half of the case. A planing hull built in Stockholm, a Brusa direct-drive motor, cork decking and recycled materials give it a clear material identity, and that platform has since been extended into a commercial Pro variant for Swedish operators — a reasonable proxy for durability that few electric day boats can offer.
The caveats
The 100-mile range is a low-speed figure and no range at speed is published; expect a small fraction of it at 30 knots and ask the yard for the real number. At 2,600 kg for eight metres it is a heavy boat, which generally helps composure in chop but complicates trailering and lifting — check your crane capacity and road-transport rules before assuming flexibility. And at €249,000 it sits alongside boats offering far more accommodation, so buy it for the day, not for the weekend.
